Deepfakes and synthetic media are developing faster than the tools and training designed to detect them. To help address this challenge, DETECTOR project is inviting forensic experts and law enforcement practitioners to take part in a survey on training needs and capacity building.
The survey will help identify which training approaches are already effective, where operational gaps remain, and what support practitioners need to respond to real investigative challenges involving manipulated and synthetic media.
The findings will contribute to the development of practical, relevant and sustainable training activities for professionals across Europe, building on existing efforts and avoiding unnecessary duplication.
The questionnaire takes around 15-20 minutes to complete, and responses can be submitted until 30 April 2026.
